If only Judas know...
John 13
21 When Jesus had said these things, He was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”
22 Then the disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom He spoke.
23 Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.
24 Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke.
25 Then, leaning back on Jesus’ breast, he said to Him, “Lord, who is it?”
26 Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
27 Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”
28 But no one at the table knew for what reason He said this to him.
29 For some thought, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus had said to him, “Buy those things we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.
30 Having received the piece of bread, he then went out immediately. And it was night.
.. and we know what happened later, Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for 30 pcs of silver.
All the while i thought when Jesus told John, the one who betrayed Him is the one He gave the bread to, He is simply telling John: "see, this is the man who'll betray me". However John took no action against Judas, and Jesus didn't point out Judas is the betrayer in front of everyone, if He did, you think Peter won't strike at the first moment? Instead, Jesus let him go.
What touches me most is when Pastor Prince shared about 'the disciple whom Jesus love'. Jesus love everyone with great love, even though He knew Judas was going to betray Him, He still love Judas which that love which would save and give eternal life! He never compromise His love even though He knew what Judas was about to do, as the matter of fact, He dipped the bread into the dish and fed Judas! According to Pastor, that's a very loving act according to Jewish custom! Jesus ONLY did it to Judas! And John saw it all..
What does that mean? it's not pointing out the criminer! i saw it wrongly! Jesus was telling Judas: I know what you are going to do, but on top of this, I am willing to give up my body for your redemption! (minutes ago, when Jesus broke bread for the supper, He told them: This is my body broken for you..!) If Judas can remember what Jesus said minutes ago, he would know, that Jesus has no regret, no hate and no anger to accept what he was about to do to Him, and Jesus was telling him: even if you do this, I can still save you!
i can only imagine how Judas felt when he look into Jesus eyes, or did he? maybe he just look down, avoiding eye contact, because no one, after seeing that love and passion in Jesus's eyes can bring himself to betray Him! that's why bible said, after he receive the bread, satan entered him, and Jesus asked him to go quickly, because Jesus know, if he stay longer, he might change his mind! Jesus was letting Judas fulfill the scripture, while still wanting to save him!
And only after Judas had left Jesus gave the rest His new commandment:
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Judas didn't heard this, he didn't hear Jesus said that: "as I have loved you". If he heard this, he might not betrayed Jesus. Jesus's spirit was troubled when He point out one would betray Him, could it be because He know He'll lost a sheep among His flock? He'll lost Judas forever, the rest of the disciples can receive everlasting lafe after He is glorified, but can Judas stay till then?
We all know the answer, Judas, because of guilt and self-condemnation, hanged himself, if only he know the Lord's heart, if only he stayed alive for few more days, and see the glorified Lord, Jesus would not lost this sheep, if only Judas know...

Now I know what is aroma of life and aroma of death.
To John, Jesus' love is aroma of life leading to life,
to Judas, Jesus' love is aroma of death leading to death, just because he didnt know how to receive His love and recognise He is his Savior also.
if Jesus ever showed less love or impatient to Judas, Judas may find a reason to justify himself.
But Judas knew he has betrayed the innocent blood.
If you are reading this post of my dear sis, listen, no matter how great is your sin, God's love is greater. Forgiven by God and forgive yourself! (I am speaking to those who are already in Christ)
If you are not in Christ, you need to accept the fact that He died for you and He is your Saviour.
We are all loved by a great love, a love can never be found on this planet.
Jesus's love is beyond understanding, no man can love like He did, because His love is NOT of this world! His love is heavenly love, from the Father above! Amen!
