GET WISDOM!
Often I came across psalms and proverbs in bible, mentioned about 'wisdom'. The writer of psalms and proverbs had always been reminding their descendents (in this case, whoever reads the bible) the importance of seeking wisdom. In fact, they wrote about how wisdom was looking for those who will appreciate, and almost comes to calling out people to come to her.
Proverbs 2:12
Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,
Proverbs 3:13
Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding,
Proverbs 4:6
Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.
Proverbs 4:11
I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.
Proverbs 8:1-3
Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances, she cries aloud:
and the list goes on... at first i read it as.. yeah it's important to seek God's wisdom, it doesn't just do me good, it pleases God when you ask Him for wisdom, see how happy He was when Soloman ask for wisdom from Him? but after further study and reading more scriptures on this topic, i realised, WISDOM of GOD is refering to JESUS also!
Psalm 104:24
How many are your works, O LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.
Proverbs 3:19
By wisdom the LORD laid the earth's foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place;
(More elaboration in Proverbs 8: Wisdom Call, on how wisdom laid the foundation of the world with God)
Now when you look back to those psalms and proverbs, everthing make more sense! seek Jesus! He'll save our way from wicked man, He'll give us understanding, He'll protect us and watch over us, and lead us along straight path! as Jesus said: I AM THE WAY! Bible also said: the world is created through Him, and for Him! (see my posting on Heaven and Earth)
That's why God was very glad with Soloman when he asked for Wisdom, in the way, he asked for Jesus, although he didn't follow the way thoughout his life, God is so pleased that He blessed Soloman in a way no man ever had.
I asked a stupid question when i read those proverbs about Wisdom:"how come in all the proverbs, Wisdom is discribed as a 'she', a 'sister', a 'woman who make her house'?" Jesus is a male leh...???
The Lord told me, first, the old testament psalmist have not seen Jesus, secondly, Jesus will never force us to receive Him, in OT Jesus is represented by a female red heifer to show that He is submissive to the Father's will.
i see.. そですね ...

Warning...a bit off subject!
I found you through "Confirm the Work of Our Hands," and wanted to respond to 2 comments you left there. If you are not interested, please feel free to delete the comment. Here it is:
Fish Tank: Of course you are correct in a theologically technical sense. And the truth you point out should give us unmitigated joy.
Many times Christians will quote a scriptural principle that is contained in, but not referred specifically to, a well known scripture.
I John 1:9 is such a verse. Though it does not refer specifically to Christians in a technical sense, it conveys the truth Paul stated when he wrote that the Christian is to die to self daily.
We know that the premier washing took place at Calvary NEVER to be repeated. Yet we know that we do, say and think things that would be better not done, said or thought.
We then speak, in a type of word picture, of the emotional need of dealing with those actions.
Let's not get TOO hung up on the "perfect" use of scripture in every instance, 'cause I have a feeling we would all fail at that point, you AND me.
If we don't loose sight of the fact that we are "cleaned" once for all but that we need at the least emotional "cleaning" on a day-to-day basis, through prayer, meditation and time with God and His Word, we'll not violate the contextual intent of Scripture.
God has not made it so complex that His children have to have "ecclesiastical types" to live by it.
Thanks for the time. Come on by any time. Love you site and have visited before without comment.
In His Name,

Dearest fishtank,
In a comment on the blog, "Confirm the work of our hands", you said:
"See, it doesn't cleanse our act, but cleanse our consciences from act! Our daily life might fall here and there, but it doesn't change the fact that we are make righteous of God by the blood of Christ! Wake up and smell the coffee!"
That's a nice sentiment, and maybe you are sincere in what you believe. But Justification that is obtained by sinners through the blood of Jesus is a DECLARED righteousness. The SANCTIFICATION that is obtained comes daily through the same Act of Jesus.
In Hebrews, the author talks about the conscience, and the fact that the conscience cannot be cleared of guilt because of our tendency to believe that "God could never forgive us for this". The forgiveness that Christ has obtained for us is real, but that's only the tip of the iceberg. The WICKED are justified BECAUSE they are wicked and DAILY we are made righteous.
We are wicked still, and we need forgiveness everyday. Paul lived by the doctrine of Justification DAILY, and at the very least we have to be reminded of the eternal and perfect work of Christ, or we will continue to believe that "God could never forgive us".
Hi Sister,
Thank you for your encouragement U gave on Ann's site. I was reading the comments...really Interesting!
I will just say, Once save, Forever save! Still stick to P.P teaching...believe the finshed work...rather than...'maybe'it is finished...

dear Joe:
Thank you for visiting the blog, and glad you notice the comments :) I am glad also you point on the fact of emotional cleansing, through the meditation, prayer and reading the word of God, that's through 'water' not blood. Blood's cleansing is once for all, i disagree with 'the laundry' article because she mentioned to be cleansed by the 'blood' everytime she did something wrong. Because to be cleansed by blood is to be re-saved by Jesus death. But I agree with you on daily cleansing by the water (word of God), I got a bit radical there.. heheee. But that's the surety of our God's promise. I don't want to compromise that. cheers!
hi! Godwyn:
Thanks and pls feel free to link. May I link yours also?
hi! Jess:
Of course you didn't offense me :) you are a precious one of our Father! it's just doctrinal difference. When we did wrong thing, (like throw temper to our boss). We don't expect punishment from our Father in heaven, for me, i'll just remember how much my Father had forgiven me through the blood of Christ, and remember that my boss is also the precious one of God, and i'll like: "sorry sorry... and Thank you Father.. for not angry with me" and find no grudges against my boss later. My pastor once said : when you are free to fail, you are free to success. Yes the freedom God gave is so free that you can do whatever you want with it! but just ask yourself honesty, will you, knowing God will never again judge your sin, sin any more? :-) You'll love Father more.
"The WICKED are justified BECAUSE they are wicked and DAILY we are made righteous.
We are wicked still, and we need forgiveness everyday."
Dear Matthew: How can one who is justified from wicked, be wicked anymore? (ref: Roman 7) since you said we are made righteous daily, then where can we find a chance to become wicked? because the justification is not just daily, it's perpetually. every min every second, that's how great salvation is, keep you under the gashing cleansing, you don't even have to chance to stain yourself for God to judge you. It's like a man can never become a woman, so one who is justified can nover go back to be a 'wicked' once you know how perfect you are in Christ, you'll live up to it! be blessed!
Hello. thats a cute cat pic, what does the symbols say? LOL (^_^)
