what they want to pick, they will pick no matther what you do...

Jesus made a very interesting statement in Luke 7:33-35, when the pharisees and lawyers refused to be baptized.

"For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by all her children.”

Blah blah blah.. when you preach grace, they said you preach easy grace, sloppy agape..when you preach from OT, they said you are legalistic, old fashion, when you preach from letters to church, they said you don't honour Jesus's word...
...when you put on make up they said vanity, when you go for a plain Jane look they said old fashion, when you play louder music they said it's just a concert, when you play traditional hymn they said boring...

You can do all the good you can think of to please people, but when people want to pick, they will pick no matther what you do or say. If even the Son of God faced this, how much more us in this world? But thanks be to God we are not of this world.

That goes back to the scriptural truth, whereby: By the words of the Priest, all controversy settles. Also the truth of Jesus and Abba's good opinion of us! the redeemed ones!

The pharisees and lawyer refuse to be baptised because they don't believe what Jesus said, they were still enjoying picking Jesus and all the so-called 'sinner' in their sight. They thought they are higher then these people, without knowing that the Most High is right in front of them.

Proverbs 14:12 / 16:25
There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

What seems right to man (Adam) is the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, the know-how, the right or wrong, the LAW! and God call its end is the way of death!

Let them continue to pick on you. The law knows not how much the Giver of the Law loves.

Jesus: you are perfect in my sight!

Attended care group yesterday night, it's the first time even since i attended church, it's interesting to step into someone else's house, sharing and talking like one family. The leader's sharing is always inspiring, even he himself not notice, i can pick up God's teaching even in his simplest testimony.

One thing i learn yesterday; God has good opinion of you, so as Jesus.

In the book of leviticus (or is it Deuteronomy?) there's a law, whereby if a woman said something no good of herself, her father or her husband can speak something to 'overwrite' whatever she has spoken. This can be abused and if the guys are the MCP type, what ever the woman said doesn't stand. But we know the law in the OT is a shadow to the truth of our Lord, women is a picture of the church today, everytime when we are down, self condemned and feeling guilty, the word of our Husband (Jesus) settles every controversy, He said: You are blameless! without spots and wrinkles, perfect and glorious! and the word of our Father confirms it!

When the leader shared a testimony of him speaking encouragement to his wife, it's a beautiful picture of Jesus picking up a heart-broken church! it's not what people say of us, not even what we said of ourselves. God ordain husbands to be a steward of God to encourage wives when she speak bad things of herselves. Just like Jesus said: I have good opinion of you, you are perfect in my sight.

That settles all. as woman, i felt privilledge because when i hear encouragement from my husband, it'll sure reminds me of how much more Jesus love me. When my father speak good thing about me, it'll reminds me of how much more Abba loves me. i really thank Him for a simple yet powerful truth He make it happen in my life.

Amen!

Temple of God!

I received this question one day (i said received cause i won't probably think of this question myself): Why didn't God let David built Him a temple? I thought about it; yeah lor.. afterall David was supposed to be a man 'after God's heart', God loved him, what's wrong for letting him build a temple for God to show his love? God too mentioned in Malachi the we are encourage to show our love for He to bless us more.

I started reading the chapter (2 Sam 7) try to find out more, and very quick Holy Spirit point out to me:
(2 Sam 7:1-2) And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies; That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains...

(2 Sam 7:4-17) (God tell Nathan to tell David why he shouldn't built a temple for Him)
Interesting specs jumps out from these verses:

(2 Sam 7:11) And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house. (God will make a house for David instead)
(7:12) And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed (!!!) after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
(7:13) He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
(7:14) I will be his father, and he shall be my son.(!!!Ref: Heb 1:5) If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: (not rod of God/strips of the children of God)
(7:15) But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.
(7: 16) And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. (and we all know from the bible Judah's kingdom didn't last forever)

I cross checked with 1 Kings 5 and 1 Kings 8, and there both David and Soloman happily declared that one of David's sons, Soloman will build God's temple instead. History proved that the temple didn't last till now.

If God can't lie, then this 'temple' which He will build should exist till this present day. When i saw the word 'thy seed' i started to have goosebumps, 'seed'-singular! not plural. God didn't said: Your son soloman shall build the temple.. Cause God is very precise when it comes to appointing man. Like how David was appointed king, God didn't tell Samuel; one of Jesse sons without mentioning the name! So! beloved of God, who is this 'seed' God is talking about? In Othrodox Jewish Bible, the word 'seed' is written as 'Zera', capital 'z'. Why is the emphasis? could it be: this 'seed' God talked about is our Lord?

My friend refer me to Heb 1:5 (which refer back to 2 Sam 7:14) and it's even clearer:
(Heb1:5) For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Hebrew 1 is talking about Son of God, our Lord Jesus, if none other had God ever called to be a Son except Jesus, it's obvious that, the one God told Nathan about, is none other then Jesus! His only begotten Son, whom He loved! and Jesus is indeed from the line of David! a true descendent whom God appointed to build a house for David (beloved)!

So! If Jesus is the one who build the temple, where is the temple? Isn't it interesting that, David's name means 'beloved'? In New Testament, many of times the church (both Jews and gentles) was called: "beloved of our Lord", and Paul, in his epistles, more then 1 time, calling the church: Temple of God! (ref:1,2 Corinthians, Eph 6, 2 Thessa). CHURCH! WE are the Temple of the Holy God! When God told Nathan about this building project, He can see all these Holy Temples of His, build with the blood of His only begotten, beloved Son, having the Holy Spirit indwell in them! I bet God was super excited when He talked to Nathan!

So what has it got to do with me? well, it's obvious in my question: God didn't let David (beloved) built Him a temple, instead God let Jesus build the temple for David (beloved). Am I building my temple today? trying to offer sacrifise by my work, try to paint the pillar gold, try to refrain myself from sin so i can go into the Holiest of Holies and not die?

God's reply is straight forward:
(2 Sam 7:13) He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
Jesus shall build an house for God, and God will establish His kingdom forever; it's between the Father and the Son! Jesus made me a Temple of God and God establish His Kingdom in me forever! So what's that I have to do? God said: Rest. When you rest, the Temple will be built, the Kingdom will be established! you know what? before all these, was another list of things God will do for you! (2 Sam 7:6-11). Isn't God good? Isn't Jesus wonderful?

I told Abba: I am Your Holy Temple, whom your beloved Son, my Lord Jesus built for your glory. i claim all the promises you told your beloved in 2 sam 6-11, i'll just rest in Jesus's finished work. Thank you Abba.

Amen and amen!!!

King, Priest and Lord

it has been sometimes since my last post.. can't think of what to write and don't want to drag myself writing also..

Last week eve mentioned about the 7 Spirits of God, i was in a rush so coudln't wait for her to get the answer from Ps Matt. It's ok, i know she'll sure share with me and i am sure she'll get the answer.

Nevertheless i also go into the word to find out more;

Rev 3:1 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars:

Rev 4:4-5 (Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. )

Remember when Jesus first preached at Nazereth? the first thing he said was: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me... Jesus is the one who has the 7 Spirits of God on Him. So if we are in Christ today, and Christ is in us, our hope of glory, then isn't it important for us to know what these 7 Spirits are? i thank God eve throw this question to push me for further study! and it's really interesting! Ps Matt told her to study Isa 11 and this is what we found:
2 The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
These are the Spirits imparted into us the moment we received Christ! Ps Prince also preached about: God can fill you with what you don't have! wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, kowledge of the Lord, fear of the Lord..then how about the first one? What is the Spirit of the Lord upon us?

Bible say of Jesus as King of the kings, and Lord of the lords, He is the big King and Lord, but who are the small kings and the small lords? us!!!! The Spirit of the Lord rest upon Him (and those who are in Him!) God gave us lordship, He set us on the victorious ground, the lords whom Jesus our Lord is head of all. We are not merely surviving in this world, but we are lords! can you believe you are lord? Romans also say: Those who receive righteousness and abundance of grace shall reign in life! Who reign in life? the kings and the lords! they are people with authority, with power, who has rights to determine the result and remember what Ps Prince said? we are also priest, whatever we said cut it, all controversy is settled. This is what we have in Christ today, high place, because Jesus was judged to the lowest, for our sake.. wow..

amen!!!!
